The flowerhead bracts of Helichrysum ecklonis are commonly pink, although glossy white ones also occur. The yellow disc florets in the centre of the head are tiny, bisexual and tubular with five-lobed corolla tips. The heads are 2,5 to 3 cm tall and 4 cm to 5 cm wide.
This compact, spreading plant was seen near the Sani Pass (Manning, 2009; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
