Felicia bergeriana, commonly the kingfisher daisy and sometimes the azure felicia, is a slender annual reaching heights from 10 cm to 25 cm. The erect plant branches mostly higher up and is covered in soft hairs.
The species distribution is in the Western Cape and the Northern Cape, from Nieuwoudtville to the Cape Peninsula and eastwards to Caledon. The photo was taken in the Biedouw Valley.
The habitat is rocky lower slopes and flats in sandy soils. The habitat population is deemed of least concern early in the twenty first century (Manning, 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; Wikipedia; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
