    The simple, mostly opposite and decussate leaves of Felicia ovata grow sessile on soft, hairy upper stems. In picture they are dull reddish.

    The oblong to oblanceolate blades are concave above, medium green and sparsely hairy, the midribs sunken. The leaf margins are entire, the tips pointed. Leaf dimensions are about 15 mm long and 3 mm wide.

    The species is palatable, eagerly browsed by game and stock. Where it thrives, the veld can be considered to be well managed and not overgrazed (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Shearing and Van Heerden, 2008; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
