Felicia amelloides

It is uncertain whether white forms of Felicia amelloides occur in nature. It is called the blue marguerite after all. The white ones that are offered by nurseries may be cultivars.

Maybe genetically modified garden plants will never create the same furore as is happening with food plants. But mountains are climbed because they are there; somebody will produce a cultivar and not everybody will be happy. 

Genetic engineering is a scientific and technological challenge with benefits recognised by some. The braking mechanism of values and laws is sometimes too late to stop events opposed strongly by some. A generation growing up with experiments turned lucrative in the market will cherish such products as childhood memories. There may come a time when we shall wonder what nature wasreally like.
