Euclea undulata male flowers

    Euclea undulata male flowers

Male flowers of Euclea undulata, found on the male trees only, grow in similar clusters to the female inflorescences.

Four or five rounded to pointed petals form a wide cup around a cohering cluster of many stamens, off-white turned pinkish with age. The young stamens in picture appear joined in pairs (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Schmidt, et al, 2002; Van Wyk and Van Wyk, 1997; Pooley, 1993; iNaturalist).
