The flowerheads of Eriocephalus capitellatus are densely grouped at stem-tips. They are white in their few ray florets, the blades of which ending in broadly lobed tips.
The dark, purplish central discs contain small clusters of tiny, tubular male florets, five-lobed and trumpet-shaped, here mainly still closed. The flowerhead diameter is about 5 mm (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iSpot).
