The shallowly cup-shaped Ferraria variabilis flower may be yellowish, orange or in shades of brown.
The tepal lobes spread or bend back, their margins crisped. The narrow tepal tips are curled up and twisted sideways. The outer three tepals are broader than the inner three.
The style branches form long, hair-like fringes over the orange anthers topping the stamens (Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
