Erica rosacea subsp. rosacea leaves

The small, oblong to lanceolate leaves of Erica rosacea subsp. rosacea grow on very short stalks in whorls of three, adhering erectly to the stems.

The outside leaf surfaces are rounded, the inside ones flat. The leaves are hairless or slightly hairy, occasionally with a few glands. The leaves are about 3 mm to 4 mm long and 0,8 mm wide (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; http://www.worldfloraonline.org).
