Erica sessiliflora stem tips

The stem-tip Erica sessiliflora leaves in picture are thin, in-curved, appearing soft but ending in mucros. Overlapping in a half-regular pattern, some are positioned more or less in columns on the densely leaved stems. The uppermost leaves of every stem are yellow, soon turning greener as new ones appear. Some new branch tips are rounded from their leaf coverings (Manning and Helme, 2024; Manning 2009; Baker and Oliver, 1967; iNaturalist).
