The leaves of Erica sparrmanii grow in whorls of four, overlapping near stem tips, more spaced lower down on older stem parts. The ascending leaves are narrow, nearly linear or needle-like to slightly lanceolate and about 5 mm long. The leaves are grooved and hairy, their margins rolled under (Manning and Helme, 2024; Euston-Brown and Kruger, 2023; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; Baker and Oliver, 1967; iNaturalist; iSpot).
