The leaves of Erica sparmannii grow in whorls of four, overlapping near stem tips, more spaced lower down on older stem parts. The ascending leaves are narrow, nearly linear to slightly lanceolate and about 5 mm long. Leaves are grooved and hairy, their margins rolled under (Baker and Oliver, 1967; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iSpot).
