    The hairy corolla tubes and red sepals of these brightly coloured Erica cerinthoides flowers are features of their species. A corolla tube bulges in its centre and the lobes at the mouth curve out.

    A few anthers show themselves in the corolla mouths, in picture, usually included. The perianths spread widely in the small stem-tip cluster.

    Hairiness is also visible on the pale green to blue-green leaves on the stem (Manning and Helme, 2024; Manning, 2009; iNaturalist).
