    There is very slight curvature in the sticky tubes of these Erica discolor flowers. Their pale yellow tips are typical, while flower colour varies from pink to dark red and white on the main, back part of the corolla. The corollas are about 3 cm long.

    The leaf-like calyces are discoloured, the bracteoles needle-like. The about stalkless flowers grow solitary or in short-shoot clusters that appear like spikes. 

    Flowering happens from before midsummer to after midwinter (Manning and Helme, 2024; Manning, 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
