The leaves of Erica pubescens grow in whorls of three around the stem, stalkless and spreading. They are linear to narrowly lanceolate and blunt-tipped. The margins are rolled under, the faint midribs whitish on the dark green upper surfaces on the plant in picture. The hairy surfaces may also be pale green (Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; Baker and Oliver, 1967; iNaturalist).
