Freesia occidentalis that rocks

Freesia occidentalis rocks at Kagga Kamma! It doesn’t matter that the invisible corms get squashed flat as they bulge in their narrow lodgings. It’s cool down there and moisture is easily followed by the roots.

While enemies can’t dig up corms without special skill or effort, flowering will be detected by pollinators from afar.
