Euphorbia ingens, commonly the naboom, adorns parks and streets in many South African and African towns and cities. This one is doing very well in the Western Cape town of Worcester, far south of its distribution in nature.

Established in the winter rainfall region does not seem have any effect on its performance. The slight bias in shape and orientation may relate to the famous southeaster wind of the Cape that wins arguments against some trees (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Schmidt, et al, 2002; Pooley, 1993; iNaturalist).
