Euryops multifidus, in Afrikaans commonly known as hanepootharpuisbos (rooster foot resin bush), is a rounded shrub reaching heights from 1 m to 1,5 m. The stems are stiffly erect, older ones bare low down and pale grey with scaly bark.

The species distribution is in the west of the Western and Northern Cape from Worcester and Malmesbury to Steinkopf in Namaqualand. The photo was taken in the Biedouw Valley east of Clanwilliam.

The habitat is sandstone slopes, particularly rocky outcrops in dry fynbos, renosterveld and succulent Karoo. The species is not considered to be threatened in its habitat early in the twenty first century (Manning, 2007; Manning and Goldblatt, 1996; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
