The green involucre of a Euryops multifidus flowerhead consists of one row of narrow, oblong bracts, initially attached to each other to near their pointed tips. The purple-tipped, finger-like and ridged bracts clasp the woolly fruits still firmly in picture (Manning, 2007; Manning and Goldblatt, 1996; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
