Euryops tagetoides is a single-stemmed, grey-leaved shrub occasionally reaching 1 m in height.

The plant mainly grows in the northwest of the Western Cape around Clanwilliam, the northern Cederberg and slightly into the southwest of the Northern Cape around the Botterkloof Pass. The photo was taken at Kagga Kamma.

The habitat is lower to middle slopes in semi-arid fynbos and renosterveld. The species is considered to be near threatened in its habitat early in the twenty first century, due to browsing by stock or trampling of the low plant population (Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; http://www.worldfloraonline.org; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
