Pollinators big and small are sating themselves in this Euryops tagetoides flowerhead. Some consumers did not stop at the boundaries of the menu on offer, but consumed floret body parts as well, like alien diners might ingest restaurant table cloths and crockery to the consternation of the establishment.
The mainly obovate ray florets have several longitudinal ridges and channels, the tips rounded or bluntly pointed (Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; http://www.worldfloraonline.org).
