Euryops tenuissimus, in Afrikaans commonly known as the grootharpuisbos (large resin bush), is an erect, somewhat sparse shrub reaching heights up to 2,5 m. Young plant parts are often covered in fine granules or mealy.
The distribution is from Namaqualand to the southern Cape. The plants grow on semi-arid, sandstone slopes. It is not considered to be threatened in its habitat early in the twenty first century (Manning, 2007; www.redlist.sanbi.org).
