Euryops virgineus may grow sparsely branched, willowy stems that become tall, waving yellow stem-tip inflorescences about. A flowerhead is up to 1 cm in diameter.
Around twelve to fifteen heads may sweep the air at one stem-tip. Most upper stem parts are straight, while few in picture have been bent by the often-insistent breezes, maybe for life. Wind may make these flowerheads duck approaching insects, but hunger ensures pollinator flight navigation is persistent. And all’s well that lands well (Manning, 2009; iNaturalist; https://pza.sanbi.org).
