Euryops tysonii, sometimes commonly called the Mt Currie true-eye, is a densely leafy shrub growing erect stems to heights around 1,5 m.
The species distribution is in Lesotho and the South African provinces around it, viz. KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape and Free State, always fairly close to the Lesotho border. The photo was taken near the Sani Pass.
The habitat is rocky slopes and boulder beds of the southern Drakensberg and the Maluti Mountains of Lesotho. The habitat population is deemed of least concern early in the twenty first century.
The plant is an attractive garden shrub (Manning, 2009; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
