The clusters of flowers up the stalk of the Kalanchoe thyrsiflora shown here are the cymes consisting of groups of individual flowers. This plant grows easily vegetatively from the axillary new growth leaf clusters. Plant in sunny places and dont be too concerned with soil type or watering.

A thyrse is a dense, panicle-like flower cluster of which the lateral branches terminate in cymes; cymes are comparatively flat-topped inflorescences with several individual flowers of which the outer ones open last.
