    The radially symmetric Ixia dubia flowers are deeply yellow-gold or orange, often with dark eye in the centre. The flower in picture presents three long, thin anthers conspicuously. They are curving and channelled, taller than the three stigma branches. The short filaments not visible in this photo are usually black or partly so.

    Flowering occurs from before midspring to early summer (Manning, 2007; Bean and John, 2005; iNaturalist).
