This Lapeirousia pyramidalis subsp. pyramidalis plant displays some of the pink, blue and lilac tinges the flowers of the subspecies are capable of when they exceed white or cream. Tepal margins tend to white, their inside surfaces slightly differently coloured to the outsides.
The spreading tepal lobes are broadly spoon-shaped. The dorsal one aims higher, more responsible towards stamens and style. The long corolla tube in picture is white and narrow at the base, coloured as the lobes and striped in its wider, upper part.
The curved style branches in picture have a toothed to granular appearance on their upper surfaces beyond the points where they fork (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist; www.pacificbulbsociety.org).
