The inner bract of a Lapeirousia divaricata flower is mostly shielded from view by the outer, taller one. The bract margins in picture are wavy and crisped, reddish near their tips.
Soft, purple-pink parts on the otherwise white outer tepal surfaces are localised mainly in the central sections lower down and at some tips. There are some notable corolla elongation differences between consecutive flowers in the developing spike.
The white and green lines on the narrow leaf are very different to veining on the bracts (Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; www.pacificbulbsociety.org).
