The Lobostemon glaucophyllus flower has five petal lobes ending in rounded, slightly recurved tips. The lobes form an open, funnel-shaped cup, here displaying dark, longitudinal, central stripes, bisected by white lines.
L. glaucophyllus flowers normally have five stamens, as many as there are petal lobes. The one in picture has four and no visible style. Partial disablement does not always prevent progress! The oblong anthers are here still white. The filaments appear as if of unequal length.
The round-tipped sepal lobes have slightly overlapping lateral margins. The fleshy calyx is dull grey green, almost like the leaves, but some pink is added to the former, as well as faint hairiness.
Leaf midribs are variably noticeable in this species (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2009; iNaturalist).
