Lobostemon hottentoticus flower

The funnel-shaped, white to pale pink flowers of Lobostemon hottentoticus have five sepals and five rounded, slightly wavy petal lobes. The flowers grow in small groups at or near stem-tips. The five white or pinkish filaments present tiny anthers about at the height of the corolla tips. The white style is slightly longer than the stamens, its stigma minute.

Flowering happens from before midwinter to after midspring. The photo was taken in October (Bean and Johns, 2005; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
