The pedicel of a Lampranthus reptans flower is long, possibly elongating further during fruiting. Green near and on the fruit, the lower pedicel part bears different colours through pale yellow to slightly pink. This is where it starts resembling some of the younger stems below that remain green only briefly.

The green part of the fruit bears dots similar to those on older leaves. These dots may become accentuated along leaf angles, forming rows of slightly bigger dots (Manning, 2007; Manning and Goldblatt, 1996; iNaturalist).
