    The opposite, cylindrical leaves of Lampranthus haworthii are smooth, fused at the base and round tipped. They are equally paired and sometimes curving up like raised arms. The grey green to bluish green leaves become from 2 cm to 4 cm long and are about 5 mm in diameter.

    Some L. haworthii plants bear pale pink, nearly white flowers like this Little Karoo specimen (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Smith, et al, 1998; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; http://pza.sanbi.org).
