The flowers of Lasiosiphon kraussianus var. kraussianus grow in rounded heads at stem tips on notable stalks. From 15 to 30 flowers form one head.

The floral lobes or sepals are long, oblong and glossy yellow. In the flower mouth shorter membranous petal scales, also oblong, are present. The flower tube is cylindrical and silky, surrounded by a collar of involucral leaves, wider than the plant’s regular leaves.

The stem leaves are lanceolate with entire margins. The leaves are hairless or may be silky on their lower surfaces (Manning, 2009; iSpot).
