A Kniphofia ritualis inflorescence is fairly dense, comprising straight tubular flowers that angle down or nod seemingly on top of the flowers below them in the erect raceme. A raceme can be as long as 14 cm and 5 cm in diameter.
Bud perianth colour is orange, red or salmon, opening to pale yellow or greenish yellow. Opening of the flowers follows after the colour change to yellow, some elongated buds are already yellow before the segment lobes at their tips part. The perianths are from 25 mm to 30 mm long.
Stamens usually hardly protrude from the open flowers in this Kniphofia, retracting again as they age (Manning, 2009; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
