The old Indigofera flabellata flower in picture seen in May is almost white.
The standard petal at the top is strongly recurved at its tip, appearing parted down the centre where one stamen is normally positioned.
The pair of long, broad-tipped wing petals part sufficiently for the keel to be exposed between them (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007).
