Indigofera flabellata leaves

The oblanceolate leaves of Indigofera flabellata in picture are centrally ridged at the back. The leaflets are yellow-petioluled, the petioles below that slightly longer and curved, not so brightly coloured.

The older stems are purple, the younger green. The colour transition of stems given in the picture appeared suddenly. Stems are hairier than leaves or their stalks.

Leaf structure involving more than three leaflets has not been seen (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007).
