The narrow leaves suggest that this may be Indigofera hedyantha, but the flower may be too brightly red. I. hedyantha, commonly known as the black-bud indigo, is a shrublet of up to 90 cm in height, occurring widespread across the eastern regions of South Africa. The flowers grow reddish pink flowers in slender racemes. The flower measures about 1 cm across. The leaflets are narrow (Manning, 2009).
