The leaves of Jamesbrittenia tortuosa in picture grow mostly in whorls on small side-branchlets, bigger than the small, linear ones seen on some plants.
They ascend here, oblanceolate in shape with rounded tips that curve out. The margins are entire or with few, small notches that form scallop-like parts. The pale green blades are often shallowly channelled above and faintly hairy, appearing soft (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
