The inside surfaces of the Jamesbrittenia tortuosa corolla lobes are about the only parts where hairs do not abound.
The clear white lobes spread in a two-lipped grouping, the upper petal-pair cohering, the lower three angled apart from each other. The brownish yellow inside the throat appears the same colour as what is visible on the outside, above the kink.
These flowers were seen in the Kammanassie during April (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
