The branches of Jamesbrittenia tenuifolia are sparsely leaved or the leaves crowd at the tips. The leaves are opposite or fascicled on the stems and short-stalked to sessile, the blades tapering into the stalks. Leaf shape is narrowly and angularly obovate with two to six lobes or teeth at the tips. The typical covering of gland-tipped hairs upon this plant is in evidence (Manning, 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984).
