Lachenalia rosea unmarked leaves

A Lachenalia rosea leaf may be spotless. The commonly seen brown or maroon leaf blotches are absent from the plants in the photo. The soft leaf, oblong in shape and curving down in its upper parts, clasps the scape at the base; its colour pale green, its texture fleshy.

The leaf is partly canaliculate, i.e. channelled with upturned margins in its lower part, rounded from the clasping of the stem, but flattening towards the upper part.

Different shades of pink are present in the two inflorescences on display, their scapes deviating from the straight and erect (Bean and Johns, 2005).
