    The flowers of Lachenalia membranacea grow spaced in a narrow spike. Youngest buds at the top, as well as the stalks and bracts in that section are pale blue.

    The upper, open flowers below the top are dark-tipped, apart from the inner tepal margins flaring white. The lower, older open flowers are white or sometimes yellow in their lower parts, dark in the upper parts.

    These flowers are pollinated by bees (Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; iNaturalist).
