Crassula perforata in a jolly dance

Dancing like a snake pit performing troupe, these Crassula perforata stems use the Albany thicket shrubbery of the Addo Elephant National Park to gain height. Maybe also for stabilisation when the wind blows. The stems manage only a real slow dance, not branching much on the way up, but curving as one must, gravity and all.

Style is limited by genetics (Smith and Crouch, 2009).
