The afternoon sun conjures the gold from the quiver tree crown if you are a tree person. Bestows it upon the tree if the sun does it for you. More of these trees present their special moments, depending on the lie of the land and timing, the sun’s cycle or the earth’s if you’re wide awake and the weather.

At other times they all get many moments during the daily blaze, but what’s special when there is such abundance?

If one happens to be especially tall, sporting a youthful crown, the light touch of the rays may be exceptional for a moment upon green tips above a tricolour trunk. Spotting the suns last touch is for the perceptive few; interpreting it is for the creative, the scientific and the insane.

Stem colour and shape add allure to several subdued characters already skulking in shade but not shady in nature.

The scene, based on layered rock and scattered bushes like cushions on a lounge carpet, adds wonder to this stand of the motionless. They might be imagined to live in a world far-off in place and time, if they had not been encountered right here. The miraculous is all around.
