Several or most flowers are open concurrently in an Albuca suaveolens raceme in its prime. Ascending petioles, nearly 2 cm long, keep the flowers (mostly) facing outwards, a feature differentiating this and a few other albucas from their nodding and erect flowering counterparts.

The tepal tips curve in, differently shaped on the inner and outer whorls. These are features of closing equipment that served during the budding stage.

The style is particularly long in this Albuca. It is positioned on the superior ovary, green and ellipsoid or ovoid in picture. The shorter stamens spread around the style. Their anthers are much bigger than the stigma at the style tip (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984).
