The Albuca setosa tepal tips curve in on the bud as is normal, while one of them seems to turn outwards in the opening flower. Curvature is the feature of this plant’s moment of flowering, repeated in the narrow green leaves as well as the creamy, cylindrical pedicels of the flowers. There is even haphazard curving in the papery brown bracts still attached to pedicel bases in picture.
These flowers are sometimes scented (Euston-Brown and Kruger, 2023; Manning, 2009; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
