The dark olive-green tepal bands on these Albuca suaveolens flowers are finely longitudinally lined. The margins are pale, between white and yellow, maybe related to flower age. Obscure flaps, thickening or hooks are small at the incurving tepal tips.
The tall style in the centre has a fluffy stigma, similar to the yellow anthers in the ring of shorter stamens around it. The taller style than stamens is to be expected in A. suaveolens.
The specific name, suaveolens, is a Latin word meaning fragrant or sweet-scented. Fragrance may already be lost from older flowers like the ones in picture; pollinator enticement no longer required (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
