Arctotis revoluta green leaves

Arctotis revoluta leaves may also be bright green as on this plant. It flowered orange while the yellow-flowering bushes also seen in the Biedouw Valley had grey-green leaves.

Some margins of the narrow lobes have patterned, recurring undulations and twists that appear like pointed teeth from some angles but are more sinuate than toothed, the teeth and lobe tips well-rounded. Blade shape complexity varies the leaf part receiving sunlight at a particular moment, always keeping some parts in shade.

Sparse hairs of variable length are mostly concentrated along the midrib on the lower surface, but some short hairs occur elsewhere, also not quite absent from the upper surfaces (Manning, 2007; iNaturalist; http://pza.sanbi.org).
