    The yellow flowers of Aspalathus crenata grow in clusters at stem-tips. Peaflower shaped, they have hairless calyces and keels. The upper margins of the banner petals recurve, the vein lines on these petals resemble the leaf veins. The outer petal surfaces are silky. The flowers fade to red or brown.

    Bloomtime is spring and early summer (Manning, 2009; Bean and Johns, 2005; Burman and Bean, 1985; iNaturalist).
