Agathosma capitata young flowers

The rounded Agathosma capitata inflorescences at stem-tips are young here, still retaining their petals. The clawed, spoon-shaped petals spread, not as long as the straight stamens tipped by tiny, sometimes-yellow anthers.

The small, pointed leaves are angled up, close to the stems and imbricate. They reach right up to the flower clusters. Leaf hairiness is visible at close quarters.

Much branching of upper stems promises many more inflorescences later (JSTOR, iNaturalist).
