Aloe peglerae blooms

The perianths or individual flower tubes of the Aloe peglerae inflorescence become from 2,6 cm to 3 cm long, growing on green pedicels of about 3 mm. The perianths are dull red in bud, acquiring a pale, cream colour, sometimes greenish upon opening. The outer segments are free almost to the base.

Much nectar is produced in the perianth tubes that have their open mouths slightly turned up.

Inside the perianth tube the flattened filaments are lemon yellow, while purplish black on the exserted parts. The stamens are tipped with yellow more than orange anthers. The style is also far exserted, coloured pale brown outside the tube, lemon on the part inside the perianth (Van Wyk and Smith, 2003; Reynolds, 1974; Jeppe, 1969; iNaturalist).
