    Some Asclepias praemorsa flowers have purple markings on the outer parts of their corona lobes, both inside and out. The staminal columns in the flower centres in picture are whitish on top, flat and five-angled. The insides of the strongly reflexed corolla lobes are pale, their outsides in the still closed buds dark, not very green. Old flower pedicels are dark red.

    This form of the plant resembles A. stellifera (Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
